RBC Online Banking can download recent transactions in a few file types, including CSV, from the account page. The monthly statements are PDFs, archived online for a number of years. Convert a PDF for older months.

Canadian statements use cheques and debits against deposits and credits, and the date sometimes appears only on the first line of the day. The sketch is ours, drawn from public information, and your own statement may differ.

FAQ

RBC statements, answered

Can I download RBC transactions as CSV?
Yes, recent transactions from the account page. Older months come from the monthly PDF statements, which you convert here.
Which format for QuickBooks in Canada?
QBO works with QuickBooks Online and Desktop. Download it from the same review that gives you Excel or CSV.
Is this affiliated with Royal Bank of Canada?
No. Tableaf is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Royal Bank of Canada. The name is used only to say which statements this page is about. RBC and its marks belong to their owners.
Is my RBC statement uploaded anywhere?
No. A text PDF is read by code running in your browser and the file you download is built there too. Nothing reaches our servers, and it keeps working offline after your first visit. How we handle your data.
How do I know every RBC transaction was read?
Every statement is checked against its printed opening and closing balances. If they don’t add up, the review screen shows “Off by” with the amount and points at the page or the row where the running balance breaks. Any text PDF should work, and that check is how you know it did.
Does it read a scanned or paper RBC statement?
Not yet. A scan has no text to read, so it needs OCR on a server, which is planned for paid plans. Statements you download from online banking are text PDFs and work today.
