Short answer

Can I download TD transactions as CSV? Yes for recent transaction history, PDF for statements.

EasyWeb can download your recent transaction history, but the monthly statements are PDFs. TD says you can reach up to seven years of statements online, so those PDFs are the way to older months.

Get your TD statement as a PDF

The monthly statement is the complete record, with the opening and closing balances the check needs. These are the usual steps in TD online banking.

  1. 1.Log in to EasyWeb.
  2. 2.Go to Statements & Documents.
  3. 3.Pick the account and the statement.
  4. 4.Open the PDF and save it. TD points to Adobe Reader if you don’t have a PDF viewer.
  5. 5.Repeat for each month.

In the mobile app

  • In the TD app, open the account and look for Statements and documents.
  • Open a statement and save or share the PDF.

The layout

What a TD statement looks like

Canadian statements use cheques and debits against deposits and credits, and the date sometimes appears only on the first line of the day. The sketch is ours, drawn from public information, and your own statement may differ.

DescriptionCheque / debitDeposit / creditDateBalance
Typical TD Canada Trust chequing layout, redrawn by us: the date sits to the right of the amounts, then the balance.
Date after the amounts
The date column is typically to the right of the debit and credit columns rather than first. The converter reads columns by position, so the order doesn’t matter.
Cheque/debit and deposit/credit
Two amount columns, turned into one signed amount.
Balance column
A balance column follows the date. When it is there, the check can find the row where it stops adding up.

FAQ

TD statements, answered

Is this for TD Bank in the United States?
No. This page is about TD Canada Trust and EasyWeb. TD Bank in the US is a separate bank, and its PDFs are read as text PDFs like any other.
The date is not in the first column. Does that matter?
No. Columns are found by the headers and where the text sits on the page, not by their order.
Is this affiliated with The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD Canada Trust)?
No. Tableaf is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD Canada Trust). The name is used only to say which statements this page is about. TD and its marks belong to their owners.
Is my TD statement uploaded anywhere?
No. A text PDF is read by code running in your browser and the file you download is built there too. Nothing reaches our servers, and it keeps working offline after your first visit. How we handle your data.
How do I know every TD transaction was read?
Every statement is checked against its printed opening and closing balances. If they don’t add up, the review screen shows “Off by” with the amount and points at the page or the row where the running balance breaks. Any text PDF should work, and that check is how you know it did.
Does it read a scanned or paper TD statement?
Not yet. A scan has no text to read, so it needs OCR on a server, which is planned for paid plans. Statements you download from online banking are text PDFs and work today.
